Abstract

Stroke is a leading cause of disability requiring long-term home care provided by family caregivers. Limited caregiver knowledge and skills may increase the risk of complications among stroke survivors. This community service program aimed to improve caregivers' capacity through the Antasan Rawat Stroke program based on Community Health Nursing. The program was conducted on July 17–18, 2026, in Antasan Senor Ilir Village. Although the initial target was 10 caregivers, a total of 30 participants attended. The intervention included health education, demonstrations, simulations, hands-on practice, and interactive discussions. Evaluation was conducted using pre-tests, post-tests, and skills observations. The results showed that the mean knowledge score increased from 60.8 to 88.9, and more than 85% of participants were able to perform essential post-stroke care skills independently. The program effectively improved caregivers' knowledge and skills, supporting home-based stroke rehabilitation and complication prevention.
